-im new to color guard and i feel like im gonna make us SUCK!!!!!! ive been watching previous performances and theres NO way i can be as good as the rest of the color guard!!!!! HELP?!?!?!Since you are new, you aren't expected to be perfect. You will be taught basic skills you need to perform, along with learning work for performances. Everyone is going to struggle with something, whether they're new or not.
Everyone messes up. But you have to recover. If you mess up, just keep going and lift your head up high.
When you are learning work, if you don't understand something, speak up. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't worry about looking dumb b/c honestly, no one will care. Everyone has to learn sometime.
Look and watch guard members that have been on it for a while. Follow what they do. Ask them to be your mentor. They should be welcome to help you and teach you.
Just have confidence. It's scary at first, but once you know what you're doing, it becomes really fun!
Most importantly: PRACTICE ALL THE TIME!ask a leader for help. just practice and practice....and practice some more
Why does the band march?? Where are they marching? Do the listeners march as well?
