Steps, songs, websites(free), and tips to get good at electric guitar?

-I'm not motivated enough mostly because I want to be good already ! I want to play as good as Avenged Sevenfold! But I totally suck ! Well not really I'm past beginner but not intermediate or maybe ? (x well I was wondering if you can give me good advice . Because this isn't working out. And NO I don't want a tutor because A that's lame and B I like to teach myself. I know the basic chords, the minor and some major scales and I can so far play 5 songs really good like Mario theme song malaguena and the others I forgot :P thanks for your responses (:
