Can I have a talent agent back home and get one somewhere else?

-So I have an agency that I'm signed with in Kansas City however I'm trying to get an agency in L.A. to sign me. My agency covers only states around KS. So I wouldn't think it would be a problem. I know some actors have a home agency and one in another place?!
