I'm a guitar beginner and I don't know the correct way to place my fingers on the fret board...?

-to get different tones and sounds?



Which KEY fingers do you need to please on the fret board and where?



I'm kinda confused, please help?

The G chord is fairly easy to learn for beginners.

Next you can learn how to form other chords such as C, D, or A minor.



Then... When your REALLY up for it... You could learn how to play an F chord. *WARNING* Learning an F chord is gonna take a lot of time and practice for beginners.



Once you learn enough chords you can search around youtube for some songs to learn how to play. The first song I learned was Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison. Here's a youtube video for this guy that teaches guitar to beginners. His name is Erich Andreas and he calls himself YourGuitarSage. He's awesome!
