Guitar help??????????/?

-When you need to play a song, and you need a capo. Can you play the song right without capo?



Cause I don't have a capo.. and I don't know if the song is gonna sound right.You can still play the song. It won't sound exactly the same, as it will be in a lower key.



What you can do, is find a ball point pen and an old shoelace, then lay the pen across the fret you need to put a capo on, and tie the shoelace around the back of the guitar neck, looping it around both ends of the pen... pulling it down so the strings are touching the frets and you can hear them clearly.
Of Course you can. Just imagine that the Capo is set to an open tuning and away you go.



However, the key would be different to the original tuning of the song so be mindful. Also, I reccomend getting a capo: BEST buy I ever made (after my guitar of course)

Hmmm if you can find the right chords but it'll be REALLY tough. So you might as well get a proper capo. It'll also be easier to play songs once you get one. P.S. you can get a capo at your local music store if you want a good quality one ;) Good Luck!!
Yes. The song will just be in a lower key.



What does that mean? If you are singing along with the song on your mp3 player, then you have to lower the vocals if you don't have a capo.
